I think it's too early for them to release another full-length album this soon (party pooper alert!) I mean... why couldn't they wait until next year or so? I understand it's being released on Haru's birthday (tanjobi ometedou! :cheer:) and it's great but doesn't it bother anyone that we're being overwhelmed with too much SCANDALing and so on & so forth? Is anyone even bothered about this?? .boom.

by bothered do you mean the girls are being overwhelmed? cause to a certain degree yes, but the girls love what their doing and take much pride in their work, besides it's not the first time i've heard any artist not release an album every year. YUI is one. she released an album every year since 06~08 then she took a break. in those years she released 3 albums every year till her break.

i'm not really really bothered yet, i'm concerned but not bothered, when the girls get really exhausted and what not like something happens then i'm bothered.

i don't know if that answered your question but that's my opinion on it.

now back to topic,

still no luck or anything new on the album, then again its months from now. i'm still looking, still looking .silence.

@porcupine: I believe we all are concerned about SCANDAL's health and well-being, but I guess we could help only by showing them our support. :cheer:

If it's about how the company is 'marketing' them (going on 'too many shows', is that what you mean?), I can't really comment since it is their business strategy and I don't really understand how it works.

In any case, I guess we can't just approach the company and say: "Please postpone their album release, because we are worried about their well-being"? Hmm...

Just my opinion.

I don't think they're overworked, fortunately they're not at SNSD levels of schedule madness.

lol my wallet is worried. I told myself I would make myself wait to go back to Japan to see them live until they released another album...

It's only natural in the Japanese Music Industry, artist in their prime to releases at least 3 singles and 1 album a year.... And they won't be forever young so strike while the iron is hot.

I'm more concerned with the promotional budget they are getting.... it seems it's the minimum alloted for an artist considering their last 2 PVs.....

I'm sure that, if SCANDAL themselves feel they are being overworked, they can speak out. They can take care of themselves.

I agree, I'm sure that if they're feeling tired and overworked, they'll say something. And plus, they love music, it's hard to feel tired over something you love and enjoy! Right?

and now I better set some money aside to get this album and their new single when they're released... :D

for sure ever since 2010, they have been releasing singles/albums/concerts. but like what most say, as long as the company don't exert them way too much, we should be happy. is true that US one looks a bit concerned since japan then straight to US, but come to think of it, is what they want, they wanted to travel to US again. so yea. not going off topic.

anyway, on the album itself. let's wait for July. it is too early now. so yea.

But Japanese singers and bands do seem to work much harder then say
English one's.
AKB48 release some new nearly every week but Yasushi Akimoto
does it by splitting the 48 girls in more and more different teams !

I disagree. SCANDAL pvs have always been minimalist. I don't consider CUTE! or Haruka to be inferior products at all.

@Tony: Japanese seem to work harder than us in pretty much everything. A cultural thing, I guess.

if that's what the Japanese record companies believe then that's what they believe but the point is PV from the name itself it's a promotion it should attract attention, create a hype to attract curiosity, widen the fanbase.... not just satisfy the hard core fans... I'm not saying Pride and Haruka is inferior but Scandal is already one of Sony's potential bankable artist, honestly for me the overall promotion is not enough... I'm not saying that a high budgeted PV will boost sales all the time but if we are taking about real world situations then it's about the AVERAGES, and on the average the higher the investment the higher the yield....

that's just how I see things I'm not saying I'm right, I'm just afraid that promotions might be a hindrance to their rise....

On Topic: it would be nice if they will release an album PV like what FLiP did with their Michi Evolution debut album.

Just one last word on that, Alrick. If promotion is the purpose, then what could promote them more than showing off how cute they are ?

something that can push them above the rest... Yes, their cute but they're not the only cute group in the industry... they need something that is a level different but not a radical deviation of what they are doing... All I'm suggesting is Sony to throw a bit more resources to widen their options or make things happen.

I just want them so sell more.... because it can help to secure their futures.

Well I don't see what more budget would achieve, aside from making their PVs less relevant. Most PV from other groups also just feature them playing on some backdrop. Truly inspired music videos like Land of Confusion are rare, and they don't really sell the group itself.

And yes, there are other cute groups, but few with 100% cuteness.

To sum what alrick said; The PVs that they are doing are an understatement. It doesn't do justice on how awesome they really are.
