I wanted to share with you what happened in the last few weeks of my life.
The last few weeks were very crazy for me, one of my friends from work said that she has a very old guitar in her house which she can give to me. Identified as a 1970 SOLO 2 guitar made probably in Belarussia. So me and my brother started to "fix" it and changed it a lot, still does not have anything inside of it, no pickups, pots, nothing.. next week I will go and buy maybe mini-humbuckers a new bridge, strings etc. All of the old stuff had to go to the garbage. It looks like this.
And AFTER some work
And after a few days after getting this SOLO 2 I got another guitar for free
A completely hand made Stratocaster body and neck, hand made by my uncle who passed away a few years back. The STRAT was hidden deep in the celar for the last 10 years. So I am trying to revitalize it now.
1: the old white paint
2: pure wood (very heavy and I don't know what type of wood it is, the body is much heavier than my squier with neck and electronics combined)
3: first paint layer
4: and the finished green paint and carved two humbucker cavities. Before polishing the body
And this is what I bought for the green :D
It's going to sound awesome (I hope)
Will keep you guys posted.
