Umm, Seattle is more like a catapult launch away from where I am in central Canada.
Besides, I'm paying for field school in California this spring/summer so the bank's kinda dry... Maybe if I keep throwing what money I have left into the lottery from now until sakura con, I'll have a chance to see them! xD

I like the song too. Well, a PV in the studio is "minimalist", easier to shoot than outside, but give a nice feeling, especially with the light effects.

Kanami's solo in Alone is just plain sick....

Yup, Kanami's solo is brightest spot of the song. And that song is good, but... somehow bleek :/ Call me strange, but something is missing - and I can't tell what.

My only real complaint is the mixing, almost as if the studio hurried the production. I feel like the vocals are mixed a bit too high and the bass a bit too low relative to the overall track volume.

Hmm... anyone been to Sakura-Con before? Looks like the $60 membership covers the whole weekend and the Band-Maid concert, but they didn't say which night they will be playing. I'm interested in going but only for the concert :p

Also, dangit now we have to wait to grab this new Alone single too?

I've never been but its still early, they are probably still planning around which day each guest will play so give it a bit and they should announce it soon Happy hopefully they will bring some alone singles to sell in seattle haha

Sakura-Con has tweeted out for volunteers for their various panel discussions. A person I know who is involved with JRockRadio has intimated that it is likely (though I don't believe set in stone) that Band-Maid will have a panel discussion.

Don't know if it's possible, but might be cool to be one of the panel volunteers for Band-Maid.

The digital edition of Maid in Japan is now available on iTunes Philippines. I just purchased last weekend. Their debut album is okay, typical hard rock, et al.

I am glad that BAND-MAID shown their true musical character with their current album The New Beginning.

Usually big name bands have at least 1 autograph signing, a small panel where they talk about stuff to the fans and maybe a Q&A and 1 musical performance, some conventions do extra stuff like Anime Expo or Anime central but that seems to be staple, when you are a volunteer however you dont get to experience stuff from the front and the most you might get is a nod from the band maybe, unless youre a translator/organizer I wouldnt recommend volunteering just to be close to Band-maid, you might end up volunteering at something completely unrelated to the band and miss out on all their events as we had one person go through that when SCANDAL played at Am^2 in 2011

True, volunteering can be a mixed bag.

I volunteered at the 1996 Olympics and got lucky. I was a floor tender for the men's and women's volleyball games, so I was watching the games from 10-15 feet away from the court's sidelines.

Other people who volunteered for the same venue never got to see the inside of the building.

Anyone bought tix to Sakuracon yet? Looks like the pre-registration price ends at the end of 3/1 and then it'd just be on site purchase for $10 more after 3/1.

Oh, and looks like they definitely will be doing a live concert, a Q&A session and sign autographs.

Well, I bought my pre-reg tickets to Sakuracon.
Hopefully they release the scheduling soon, so I can start planning my BAND-MAID weekend!

If anybody else is going and want to meet up, just let me know.
